I love my geese, and yes, they do mow quite well.

So, I just got 6 more to replace what I had lost to MG.
My first geese.

What a great picture! Did you train them to pose like that?

Nova, depending on how my hatch goes, I may have a few for you. I have 8 after first candling. I only plan on keeping 2, and then adding a couple from Jenny.
I think I'm around an hour and a half away, but I could meet you part way.

AWESOME!

I sent Jerry an email, maybe I should call... Well anyway, I am hoping to get 8 faverolle chicks from him for Skatter to raise. He also has some gorgeous dots... Oh man... LOL.

Due to hatch on the 27th.....that would be great for me too. Been wondering what to do with the extra chicks....now I know they'll have a great home.:)

Oh hush. You know you're only back because you missed me. :plbb But seriously, that's one of the nicer things I've been called even by my own MOTHER!!! She once called me directly back because I'd just talked to my husband on the phone before her and said "I love you" at the end of our conversation out of habit. She thought there was something wrong with me. LOL!

Looks like Norton Shores exit off of 31 is about halfway. When I google, going by that route is the fastest.

Olive, can I asked others, but didn't get a real answer... Think I could put a few chicks that are already several days old under Skatter? Her eggs are not developing... TSC is not getting anymore tomorrow. I haven't called FFH to see if they are getting any, even though I swore not to go there... I will if they are getting some... AND if I don't hear from Jerry here soon... I will let her sit on the dud eggs till I can get some from Jerry if he has them, but if not... Could I put chicks that are that old under her?

Yes, I don't see any reason why not. She's not likely to be all, "OMG YOU LITTLE MONGRELS ARE PRACTICALLY PRESCHOOLERS! GET OUT!"

ETA: In fact, I finally got around to catching some hens who had taken to sleeping in the trees the other night and shoved them back in the coop with the now, what? month and a half old? chicks and the one immediately fluffed out and started purring like a kitten. She hadn't even been broody, the silly old bat.
