I think that is generally not recommended. Is there any way to add more roosting space for them so they don't have as much to fight about?

Probably not a good idea to bring in a younger chick while the others are establishing their pecking order.I've had my chicks for two weeks now, and they are still doing great! They are getting quite feathery, and finally some of the other chicks are putting up a real challange to the current 'top chick,' Pearl. Actually, one of the chicks that doesn't often get a turn on the roosting stick overturned their waterer today, and decided to roost on it.It was cute. I think I want to add a silkie to my 6 chicks, but I'm wondering if that would work out, if I bring in a baby chick that is weeks younger than the rest?![]()
