Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, too! Happy Birthday, Silly!

Sarah, I received a PM from a moderator, so that is the only reason I know. Anything I did was entirely unintended and I was not aware of ruffling any feathers.

Well it's raining so I can't be outside....

I'll have to do other things on my list! DH just called he's running late so my dinner I've prepared will be put on hold for a bit...hope I can hold the natives off...they look pretty hunger.

Olive, if you are wanting an intelligent all purpose farm dog you might want to look into a black mouth cur. The movie "Old Yeller" was based on story about a black mouth cur. Very loyal, great family dog. Work around livestock very well, easily trained. My oldest son recently bought one and says its the best dog he have every owned.

This is a nice dog! I did a little research on it and wouldn't mind having one. Been thinking about getting another dog, for my son...one that he could call his own. I just hate the thought of dog hair in the house....Yes it would have to allowed in the house....maybe only the mud room....lol

Thanks, Raz. I hope so too, I am far more bothered by it than I probably should be, and would really like to resolve things. And for that matter, know what those "things" are.
The problem with technology like computers & texting is that it lacks expression & tonal value so often the true meaning or point can be misunderstood.

Raz.....glad you and your dog are alright. A friend had a similar thing happen to him while working on his semi. The jack collapsed pinning both his arms up to his elbows. Had to call 911 and thankfully for workers at the barn they were able to free him. He too came out of it safely. He only had a wound to his hand which was unbelievable....you'd think his arms would of been severed or something. They were thinking the wound was a release point from all the pressure on his arms/veins.

Bunny is doing okay still, but I haven't found all the cats yet so that I can let him / her go. I wish I knew where they got it from so that I could put it at least near there, but out back will just have to do.

Gracious are you guys chatty or what!

I read this morning when I got home from work so I wouldn't get to far behind... 36 posts I think it was... then I read then when I got up from my nap before I went to work this afternoon... 24 posts... then just now getting home from work, over 50 posts. WOW. LOL.

SO, this morning we have the arrival of silkie Number 1.

Poor little thing was so tuckered out, he fell asleep in my hand. Number 2 is pipped.

The event of arrival heralded in a rescue of the SLWs. They were stuck to Leila. And I do mean stuck. I ended up having to have Jace hold Leila with her side up while I cut them free. Looks like they got stuck with some goo from the hatching silkie... I don't know. BUT they are ok. I was worried about the one, it looked like it has some of its fluff ripped out in the adventure. I was freaked a bit, they were so tangled in her. I had read somewhere that this was something that could happen with silkies. Well, now I have seen it, and hope it does not happen again.

Silly, Happy birthday.

Mom... You are going to have to work on making them uggos a breed. Designer chickens... Like puggles... and labradoodles.

Skatter, I think she has decided to not be broody. I left her 4 eggs in the nest... I will chuck them out later if she doesn't get back on them. I came home from work to find her out with the rest of the group. I hope she was just hungry for more than the vittles I stuck next to her. Stupid chicken. Guess I can start getting that little green egg again. Its been weird not having it.

Gosh my dogs stink. I don't know what they ate, but MAN! If I could bottle that smell, I could make a mink of Junior high boys wanting to prank the girls.

. I swear I don't try to be insulting!

Well, okay, maybe to Raz.

Is that your idea of "tough love"?

Back when I had a real job, a mentor said to me, "praise in public and correct in private". I always thought that was good advice.

Of course, you don't seem at all like the type who would intentionally offend anyone. I, on the other hand...no just kidding. :) Sometimes I can be pretty brash but I try to make it known that I'm joking. hehe and M Sue is right, it is so hard to tell what people mean through reading type; you can't gather inflections and tone and meaning as well.

This might sound funny when I say it, but in no way am I trying to be rude: How did he call 911 if both of his arms were pinned? Was he able to get one out, or was someone else there? Either way I would probably die from fright or anxiety if that had been me. I get weirded out when I'm confined.

Second statement: that is very good advice, I agree.

Oh, I cant remember if I told you guys or not but...

I GOT THE JOB!!

she called me today and I get to start May 9th. I wish it was sooner, because I hate this place, but it actually works out well with the remaining paychecks I'll have from here, I really won't be out of money before I get paid again. So yay!!!! I'm so excited!
