Olive, if you are wanting an intelligent all purpose farm dog you might want to look into a black mouth cur. The movie "Old Yeller" was based on story about a black mouth cur. Very loyal, great family dog. Work around livestock very well, easily trained. My oldest son recently bought one and says its the best dog he have every owned.
This is a nice dog! I did a little research on it and wouldn't mind having one. Been thinking about getting another dog, for my son...one that he could call his own. I just hate the thought of dog hair in the house....Yes it would have to allowed in the house....maybe only the mud room....lol
The problem with technology like computers & texting is that it lacks expression & tonal value so often the true meaning or point can be misunderstood. Thanks, Raz. I hope so too, I am far more bothered by it than I probably should be, and would really like to resolve things. And for that matter, know what those "things" are.
Is that your idea of "tough love"?. I swear I don't try to be insulting!
Well, okay, maybe to Raz.![]()

Of course, you don't seem at all like the type who would intentionally offend anyone. I, on the other hand...no just kidding.Sarah, I received a PM from a moderator, so that is the only reason I know. Anything I did was entirely unintended and I was not aware of ruffling any feathers.
This might sound funny when I say it, but in no way am I trying to be rude: How did he call 911 if both of his arms were pinned? Was he able to get one out, or was someone else there? Either way I would probably die from fright or anxiety if that had been me. I get weirded out when I'm confined.Raz.....glad you and your dog are alright. A friend had a similar thing happen to him while working on his semi. The jack collapsed pinning both his arms up to his elbows. Had to call 911 and thankfully for workers at the barn they were able to free him. He too came out of it safely. He only had a wound to his hand which was unbelievable....you'd think his arms would of been severed or something. They were thinking the wound was a release point from all the pressure on his arms/veins.
First statement:Is that your idea of "tough love"?
Back when I had a real job, a mentor said to me, "praise in public and correct in private". I always thought that was good advice.
