What a crappy day....... had a flat tire on my way home from my haircut. Called my Dad to help me out. When he gets there he proceeds to tell me his PSA is high and he has to see a Urologist (3 of his brothers have had prostate cancer) AND that he had a chest x-ray and it revealed a spot on his lung which was not there when he had gallbladder surgery less than a year ago. Please send good thoughts and a prayer or two our way.

Raz - From what I found when I asked a leading expert, Mr. Google, it will simply die. So I thought it would be fun to do a little experimenting with it if it is going to die anyway. Plus I have this whole bottle of chlorophyll. Plus I already gave it some, so

Do plants not absorb any sugars through their roots if the sugars are present? One site said you can keep them alive a little longer by trimming the tips of their leaves a few mm every couple days to keep the veins open, and keeping them submersed in fresh sugar water. It sure is pretty.

Hope people knows about the Fowl Fest show in Alma on Saturday, April 28. http://www.fowlfest.org/ Should be pretty good, the show is being held in conjuction with the Michigan State 4-H Poultry Palooza. I know I am pretty excited. I have a nice White Wyandotte cockeral entered.

I survived my night but I'll tell you what...darn this HIPPA law because I could tell some wild tales. Age will not be kind to us folks.

There should be a sitcom about nursing homes.

I have been up for one hour and only had 2 cups of coffee...what?!!

I spent all my time out playing with the chickens and quizzing them about their first night in the big house. They didn't answer.

They were all huddled together but seemed just fine. I think I was secretly hoping they would fall apart and have to come back in the house but I guess 14 chickens in the house isn't really feasible no matter HOW big it is.

Waffles and her babies were moved to the big brooder and they are loving all that extra space now. Probably another month and they'll get to go out too. I need to take a picture of Waffles next to the chickens her same age. She's like a dwarf.

I had let Bella out to the main pasture yesterday, and she was very happy to be out of the pen.

Yesterday, I was weed wracking the weeds under the fence, and Bella saw what I was doing, and came running to find out what I was doing.

One more week before she can go in the pasture where the steers are!! They have been mooing at each other, and I would find them eating grass together along side the fence.

OMG She's adorable. I want a cow. haha

Vorwerks are a fairly calm bird. Like any bird if you start handling when they are young they won't be difficult to handle when they're older. I never handle mine so they are difficult to catch.

Haha, well, I was, I just went ahead and did it before anyone had answered, because in that time I did some looking up online and found that albino plants, unsurprisingly, do not survive. At least, not without a host of some sort.
