*Rolls. Sighs* My luck - rolled a 6. I think it knocks me down to critical body stat.

Hubby was home for lunch and found an escapee chuckle of our own and now we are going to staple the heck out of the run tonight when he gets home. At least no one is hiding in the coop anymore.

VJ: I love that beer. It is amazing good. They now have a raspberry one that we are looking forward to this Summer.

Raz you have some great neighbors to weigh out Crabby. And your ducks are super lucky.

She joined 7 months before I did.

Isn't this your busy time?

Shoo!

I've decided to make it a point to be here all summer, just for you.

What! I can't wait! Raspberry is probably my favorite flavor.

Moved 14 keets out of the brooder/bator into the makeshift cage brooder as they are too darn small to go in the ancient Sears-Roebuck brooder (designed and built "before guineas" I think). They hop through the bars on the S-R brooder. No signs of anything from the remaining 21 eggs. Fourteen out of 35 is a 40% hatch. I guess that's not too bad for pretty much setting them and forgetting them. Candling? Nopers, didn't do that either. So here's some pics. Dad is either a white or lavender guinea and mom is either a purple, pied or lavender guinea. You decide.

Does anyone know if I should try to get rid of the massive nests of ants in every single one of our gardens? They don't seem to be hurting the insane amount of weeds we are getting but I don't want to waste all these seeds. Most of the stuff I find on line says to use Diaz or use barriers of DE.
Unless they are destroying your plants or seedlings, I wouldn't bother. Ants are very good at aerating the soil.

I buzzed out to Howell this afternoon to go to one of my favourite nurseries.
When I got home, I noticed the pond was half empty. Now I just cleaned and set the filter yesterday and made absolutely certain that there were no leaks.

The filter sits behind the brick wall which means that it is in the front side yard.

The system ran all night and was fine when I fed the fish at noon. When I checked for the lost water, I found a sponge stuffed in the outlet pipe so the water overflowed the top of the filter barrel.

I wonder how that sponge got stuffed into that 2" pipe????

First of all that is a seriously cool setup. Second...did crabby stick a sponge in it? Did you take pics because it sounds to me like her harassment is escalating to physically messing with your stuff.

Thank you.

I didn't think to take a picture of it. D'oh! But I did file a vandalism complaint with the police. Since I didn't see who actually did it, I could point a finger. But I did mention that she dug up my mums about a month ago and I have a small claims action against her and her husband for taking bricks out of my front porch and not paying for them. Soooo....
