That sounds awful! I read somewhere you can give them antibiotics injected but I never found out details so we didn't try it. The last time I cleaned her foot out I sprayed it with the Vetrycin spray.... and I don't think it's spelled right. It did a really good job.The last time i cut i actually found "corns", but this is just an odd and gross mess in there that is kinda hard and stringy. Not at all what the pics looked like on the how-to's. I have been soaking in either peroxide or epsom salt, to try to clean and draw out. I can thank the epsom salt for hardening the mess a little this last time so i could see what to do, but this is looking like it's attached to the bone maybe. I cleaned all the sides out yesterday, but can't get the bottom cleaned. I really hope this is not infecting the bone, she's my favorite. I did the first attempt last fall, then again in the spring, and twice again in the last week.![]()
