Kimmie, are you using a red brooder light or bright white light on them? The red light is more calming. Also, make sure that they have plenty of room to get out of the heat/light to a darker/cooler part of the brooder. Just a thought I had. On the other hand, maybe they are bored!

Oreo is a wonderful name for a wonderfully oreo goat. :)
Do you really think I'd have a pet named "Flower"?

"Oreo" is good, but I think I like "Brie" better.

The brooder is 4 ft.x 4ft and I have a red light. They just sometimes just go nuts flapping and running around. I got all kinds of things for them to do a nice stick to walk across, a large bowl with sand from the yard, a small roost my son made for the brooder and a chicken toy it looks like a play ground in there, there are 28 chicks

I could be wrong, but it seems kind of crowded.
