Well you all have been busy today. And on such a beautiful Sunday! I went to the garden center and out to lunch with some of my favorite ladies. Of course, they didn't have anything I wanted... but I never let that stop me from buying a bunch of stuff I don't need.

Got a couple of Ostrich Ferns, a Coral Bells and a Rodger's Flower for out front. I guess, at going on ten years here, it's probably time to do some landscaping.

Picked up a few more herbs, a bunch more seeds, a few tomatillo plants, and other things I know I'm forgetting. Now that I'm home I regret not dropping the cash on that Tree Peony, but standing in front of it and its $35 price tag I just couldn't be persuaded on a whim... might have to go back for it.

Eeyore - The poult is cute. Just one so far?

As I said... I might make a buck or not. Don't think it'll be worth the effort. I could pretend to be the rush Limbaugh/Dr. Laura of chickens and give advise and flip out on a regular basis when people don't do as I say. And believe every word out of my mouth/fingers.

Sooooo, is that a no on the advance?

ETA: The Care and Keeping of Chickens by NovaAman does have a ring to it.

A week eh? I better get busy and make the place look presentable for company. Saturday or Sunday will work for me.

I might have to put you to work, my new counter is supposed to be here by Wednesday. I might be tearing up the kitchen.

At least the grills will available.

How many should I expect? Any Ann Arbor folk coming?
Well, lets see how many I have- Im not sure. I would say just me and hubbs- but my grandson will not allow me to take him home without Tiff and Kay. SOOOO, either two or four. Howzthat? lol.

owe me? You dont owe me.
Are you sure you want only one lonely one? I can pair her up so she isnt lonely..read 'scared'-because I can put emotions on anything...

even Olive

Lol, I totally get that way. Ohhhh.... Sure. Lol. Nothing too abused-animal-looking though, ok? Lol

Walked outside and ALL the little hoodlums were IN my secret garden, having a party...

I guess the wind blew open the gate and let them out.

I ran around like a banshee yelling and chasing til they all ran back in their own barren yard.

Surveyed the damages- looks like they focused on some mystery seedlings that have come up by the gate. I have no idea what they were- squash? watermelon? sunflower? pumpkin? I was going to let them grow just to see what they were. Now we may never know.

My new plants are spared.

Yeah, I never thought to try tomatillos. Great with avacado in a mashed state!

What a glorious weekend...since I have a big truck one of my twins asked if I would help him move from GR to Holland on Saturday. NP, until we arrive at the new place and brake fluid is pouring from under my truck. Well, I end up spending all day Saturday getting new parts and Sunday morning installing them in a parking lot. woohoo! Just enough time left to cut 5 acres of field before opening a bottle of Moscato!
