Juise,
If you and yours are anywhere close, you are more than welcome to stop on by.
That also applies to any other BYCer who happens to venture by this area.

Give me an hour and I can accommodate overnight guests as long as you don't mind spending the night in a camper.

Also try to take over the world if you are not careful, just in case you didn't know!

That is precisely the point. LOL! I even asked at the garden center to be steered to one that would spread willy nilly. I don't like being bothered with inedible gardening. I like the plants that I can plant one in a space and let them do their thing filling it in with minimal maintenance -- and to heck with annuals altogether (unless they act like perennials by re-seeding themselves, like the out of control Malva on the west side of the house.) I will spend all day tending veggies and herbs... not so much flowers and inedible greenery.

.............................I can't believe I did this...................I haven't done it in so long.........

I can't remember the last time I did this......... but I did it..

I locked my keys in the car and now I'm stuck at work!!!

so I called my parents... guess I owe them dinner and gas! They're going to the house to see if the spare set is there, then coming to get me. UGH, this is NOT how I wanted to spend my evening! But, it's still pretty dern funny!
I've heard this works from many people. Supposedly if you have a electronic key fob to unlock your doors, whoever has the other set is supposed to be able to put it up to their cell phone and click it while the person with the locked car holds their cell phone up to their doors.

Hi Everyone!

Coop for sale for anyone interested! We just finished building so it's never been used.

It's very sturdy and extremely heavy. No fears of this one caving in during winter or blowing over in strong winds!

8 laying boxes with doors that open from the outside to collect eggs and clean.

Asking $375.

This is nothing like you will find in places like TSC or anywhere else. The last one we built we sold to a lady who spent more for another one at a farm supply store. She said the roof blew off during a rain storm and they wouldn't give her a refund, even though she only had it for 9 days. No worries with ours. In fact, we strongly suggest from past experience that anyone who buys our coops bring several strong people and a big trailer! =) This isn't just a shelter for chickens, this is a chicken HOUSE! It's made mostly with recycled materials because absolutely nothing goes to waste with us!

If you're interested, please feel free to call 517-663-8035 and ask for Keyt (Kate) or you can email me at [email protected].

Nigellas-

I dont know if I have a white fuzzy naked left, I will have to pull out my list and check how many there are out there, and I will let you know.
I know I have a white-smooth naked neck.

Oh no worries - Fluffy black is good too.

SILLYCHICKEN-

Do you want me to send your chickens with Nigellas on Sunday?

I'm happy to house them overnight if you want, Silly. :)

RaZ-

Do NOT let my friends see the grown Uggos until AFTER they have the young ones in their possession. lol

Hahahahahaha!!! (I *am* curious what a grown uggo looks like - pictures, anyone? Also - they aren't bantam size, are they? I remember Raz talking about how big their eggs were, so my guess is no...?)

Nice coop, Keyt - We are actually looking to expand our current set up, since someone here (ahem) has a chicken hoarding problem. I think my husband wants to actually build onto our existing setup though, since he worked so hard on what we have now. :)

OK, so this is weird. For the last week or so my 14 week old RIR has been sleeping with (as in cuddled up right next to) my broody hen in a nest box. It's so weird since my teenagers are usually picked on at every chance by the grown girls, and my broodies are usually very protective of their boxes. Plus, why isn't she roosting? lol. It's strange and cute.

Oh yeah, I forgot until I read again about the locking keys in cars, (which I have done twice, once during each pregnancy, lol!)

Someone was talking about needing to jump their car all the time, and having issues getting people to do it even with jumper cables. You can get jumper cables with a battery pack so that you can jump the car for yourself.

And Mom... Pics of your garden or it didn't happen. P.S. I still have two cats MIA so I still have that blasted bunny. So far, still alive. Maybe I should drop it on Raz's doorstep.

Nova - I forgot to say, I was still over 200 posts behind on the thread when I PMed you about the ground cover, so I had no idea you were looking for plants, lol. Neat! As far as chickens.. mine poke around in the pachysandra all the time and don't eat it, but it is also not by their run.

They did go insane on it while I was pulling it up, but they were jumping in to get the worms, they didn't even peck at the wormy looking roots.

My mum tells me it is around $40 a flat!

I couldn't believe it! I probably have at least about 6 flats worth here, I am glad it is going to you instead of a random person on Freecycle! Especially since one of them failed to pick up what they asked for today.

So it is all yours if you want it. Wednesday is fine, just lemme know about what time and it had better not be too early! Like, before noon. Some of it is in pots / on a flat, but they all have drainage, and more of it is not in anything... may I suggest a tarp? I don't know what kind of vehicle you have, but I can also drop it off for you if you don't have space.
