Indeed. That big ugly growth is a hemorrhoid. AKA a PITA.

We eat 'em. Otherwise we'll end up over run with them. DH butchered one on Saturday. Can't sell 'em to anyone up here, no one seems to want them. Sold 2 gals to a guy a couple years ago, he was looking for eggs, but otherwise I just end up with too many ducks.

Just ran a possum off the chicken coop, which I only saw because I happened to go outside a couple minutes ago because I still have this blasted bunny and I thought I would pick it some clovers since I am still trying to find the last blasted cat outside so I can release the blasted bunny!

It was pulling up an edge of the hardware cloth apron! The apron is 3 foot and only has landscape staples tacking down the outer edge, which don't really do anything but keep you from tripping on it, but I was assured by everyone that really I don't need anything holding it down because nothing would try to dig under that far back.

I guess I will be looking for some heavy rocks tomorrow. Or something. : \

Have any of you had something go under an apron, then dig inside? There is also some grass and such growing up through the apron, but not enough to really hold it down. It lays flat and is screwed to the bottom of the coop and run with fender washers.
