Well in this dream, I had these little chicks- and I was moving back up here from Tennessee- and Sam was helping me move, but his name was Kendall..and i couldnt find the box of chicks...and these guys had them, and I kept asking why cant I have them back and 342 kept saying he was sorry- and the bad guys were laughing and saying, "They are already paid for"..and I was begging for Kenny the duck (????)
The bad guys kept saying, "You get the car-why are you complaining?"

And then I had to drive, to try and come home, and it was dark and I couldnt see well and I think I was wrecking when I woke up.
Most of the details of this dream have faded now, but it was disturbing.

You know you are old, when you are in a woman's dream and you are the guy relegated to moving chickens.

Being a father hasn't always been easy but all of the effort has paid dividends. David and Hope's sons wanted to take me out for dinner today, but I suggested that they all come here instead. First it costs too much money. Second, taking the new babies to a restaurant would be difficult. Third, it is difficult to visit in a restaurant. And finally, it's easier to bring Hope's stepdad here.

So yesterday Hope, Granny, and I did much of the prep work, made potato salad and cheese cake and placed a bunch of catfish filets in the refrigerator to start thawing. This morning I'll make a big fruit salad and get everything else ready for this afternoon. David's in-laws will be joining us and it is going to be a great day.

But's it's in their GENES. Those uggo genes could pop out any time.
They look so...normal. Haha
G'night everyone!
It's the Uggos. They are trying to control your mind. They want you to spread their genes everywhere, like those aliens in old horror movies. And in really bad alien/horror movies there are always escaped prisoners messing things up for the hero and heroine.

Well, we finally got rain and I know the west MI farmers must be as happy as I am! Too bad about the coon problems. I would be trapping them but my methods go back to my younger days as a fur trapper. I still have a few hundred sets that are in storage. The drawback is the possiblity of catching and killing pets. There are good live traps on the market that don't injure animals so if you get a non-target it can be released. One thing to remember, the victor/havahart box traps are sized for particular animals. Make sure you are using one large enough for coons. When I trapped we would get coons that weighed in excess of 40 pounds. They were pretty darn big and a small live trap is not going to get them.

Oh yeah, Happy Father's Day! Maybe the boys will come over and I'll suprise them with them digging a pond for me

< That's what all the farmers are doing now because we got rain too!! Or they might be doing this >

because they had their irrigators set to run this morning and it rained shortly after the crops got watered!!

i don't really like the farmers that I have around my house!! It's nice that their irrigation waters part of my front lawn, but it's really NOT nice that they decide to start to harvest their crops at 11pm!! And they work until 3 or 4 IN THE MORNING!! The field is directly across from my house, so their lovely BRIGHT lights on their tractors shine very nicely into our house! It lights up the house like its NOON!! Very hard to sleep over the noise and the lights shining right into our bedroom window. Bad thing is, we have really dark curtains too!

I had a coon problem and got a trap from my mom and I asked her if that coon would fit and she said yes. I seen that coon and it was HUGE!! I don't even see how the sucker would fit through the doorways to the coop! I would have laughed if it got stuck!! We eventually shot her and then we had no more "disappearing" eggs!!

Happy Fathers day to all the dads. We celebrated last night with a Fathers Day dessert. Since we have to work around everyone's work schedule this was the best we could do.
