I know it's not everyones cup of tea.. but I finished a drawing today, thought I'd share. Entering it in a fan contest, wish me luck!

Update on the sugar and iodine mixture, all i can say is WOW! I wish i had pictures of the before and after. (don't put it on an open wound, or it will burn, being left on like this)

what exactly do you mix for the sugar,iodine mix. (amounts?) never know when it could be handy

I've looked at this piece several times.
I'm not sure what I think of it, but it does make me think.
Isn't that the point of fine art? To make one think.

The roo you posted looks very game-y, but it's hard to tell in that shot. What kind of comb does he have?

I assumed you weren't asking about her, but the little light brown one is an ISA Brown, I think the golden one could be a campine. The other two still look like mutts to me... but I'm sure there's just a breed I don't know about.

In England many refer to the chickens as "chooks".

Gatoraide and Pedialyte are different. The sports drinks are intended as rehydrating and electrolyte replacing fluids for active sports, and so have high levels of salt. Pedialyte is an infant electrolyte formula and does not have the high salt balance. If a bird has not been eating, then Pedialyte, Poultry Drench or other aninal formula electrolytes can be used. But you should always supply fresh, clean water as well, as some animals do not like the taste of electrolytes and will not drink them.

Silly really awesome drawing, the detail is really cool. Now having said that can you explain what it means? My sister-inlaw is also an awesome artist and I don't understand some of her work either, hehehe. Have to explain everything to this old lady.

I left it on a couple days and today i took off the bandage. My girl before had pink on the bottom of her foot (EE) i thought was supposed to be there, turns out the bottom of her foot is supposed to be a dull yellow! So that means the foot that "healed itself" of the minor bumblefoot still had a bit in there, though there was no scab. Today i put the salve on BOTH feet and bandaged.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS for anyone treating bumblefoot in the beginning stages. (Or for one like mine, that just isn't healing well but has formed the non-bumble scab)

I decided to continue on with the penicillin shots, so this will be a 10 day course, starting at .75 ml and working up to 1 ml for the last 5 days.

Fuzzy, I never knew chickens could get so many ailments. Thats awesome you fixed it though.

Even then, cool water and a snack may be better for most people than chugging some gatorade/powerade. They have some good marketing to convince people it's a very health drink, but the drink itself is still sugary and as acidic as many sodas. After a lot of physical activity, your body needs nourishment, not just a handful of salts and sugar based carbs.

When my son was born almost 35 years ago he had really bad diahrra all the time at first till we found out he had milk intolarance, the doc had me mix up a water/salt/sugar mixture. Pedilite(spelling) was pretty new then. He still has problems with milk I tell him to stop drinking it then its like an addiction I guess what you can't have you want more.

Hi Kimmie,
My daughter did not do well if I even drank milk while I nursed her. So when she stopped nursing I gave her rice milk and my kids still use that one their cereal and in smoothies.

I feel so bad for my neighbor. He has been working so hard to repaint the trim around his windows and it looks very nice. Well, he was finishing the LAST window on the second floor and dropped gobs of paint down the side of his house... He tried to wipe it up, but on wood exterior it is impossible to wipe it off. He couldn't even hose it off without ruining the window below... So now he has to buy another gallon of paint to fix the oops.

Morning! Its already a balmy 81 here. Looks like a pool day for me!

Anyway, my pullet is worse today. She's still eating drinking and walking around, still skeets, and even thinner today than yesterday. I know it doesn't take long for a bird to lose weight. I am bringing her in to the kitchen in the cat carrier. Give her special attention to get her weight back up. If a day or two in the kitchen doesn't help, I am afraid I will have to cull her. I am going to take some of the poopy feathers to the vet this morning, get a worm check. I'd hate to miss that and attribute this all to heat. These are free range birds... who knows what they find to eat, and since snails, crickets, earthworms carry....

Well off to get stuff done while its still relatively nice out.

The drawing is the singer Jonathan Davis from Korn, as his other personna, DJ, JDevil.. I used a basic #2 writing pencil.

I like electronica, dup and other heavy bass music and have been enjoying his spin.. (JD will be in MI on July 20th and I SOOOOOOOooooooooo want to go!!)

Anyway... (grandma), it's hard to describe what the drawing means.. sometimes, it just is what it is.

JDevil, is a bad boy that likes pushing the general establishment... and at things I can't mention here, and government etc.... and I tried to capture the "naughtiness"....though you can't see it here, he wears black contacts and sometimes black grills (teeth covering) to enhance his devil personna..... for me it's just fun.. I've met Jonathan and he's really a nice, endearing guy. He loved my other drawings I did and was very admiring and complementary.
