Nova Aman, I've been keeping up on your posts about your sister, and wishing her health and you comfort. That's got to be hard to watch. What terrible odds that she would have something go wrong in a very routine proceedure AND have multiple ducts.

Raz, jail time?! You're like the Thoreau of the urban chicken world. Hoping for the best for you.

While I'm sorry to have missed Chickenstock, it seems like it was for the best. Too many photos of sweet birds looking for new homes. I'm keeping my eye on the northern meeting. We spend some time at Higgens Lake, and might add a stop to the plan. ;)

Amy, I know right! But apparently it does happen. SO, being me, and being anal about things, IF I were her doc, after finding the first set of abnormalities, and when the situation didn't end after the first fix... I would have went for opening up then and there, and not just going with the "slow healer" BS.

Well... Family should be here soon. Guess I should consider making a pot of brew and changing my shirt... Its um... Well, imagine a dirty hillbilly working old man in a holey shirt and possible man boobs, and you have my current problem... Only I am not a man, but I do feel old, am dirty from grave digging, and I know how to use duct tape, there for... am a hillbilly too.

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading and learning from BYC since the last week of March. I am sorry I crashed the event Saturday, but after meeting so many nice people I have decided to join BYC.
Hi Rusty, I am not sure I met you or not because I was such a nut that day I can't remember anyone's name or anything!! But welcome to herd/flock.

Nova that's so good that they at least found out what wrong with your sister, yeah! When I had my gallbladder out in 1991 my liver was nicked and something happened to my esophagus, after that I have had nothing but spasms in my esophagus it like a charlie horse in the esophagus, it hurts really bad the first one I had I thought I was having a heart attack at 31 years old!

Raz, x 2 on getting a lawyer to consult. Since you stepped into the public, and spoke to the paper, it seems they want to make a public example of you, and quickly. They will look to make it severe, to scare off others, and looks like the crazy neighbors are ganging up and waiting for you to be "taught a lesson"

Nova, i'd back off the ACV if that is the only new thing..........The bright green concerns me, that is not necessarily worms. The times my birds have had worms, (now too) their poo is normal. I only know because i spend a lot of time with them, and my birds like to hang at my feet. So they probably do all have worms, but i am wondering if there is a different problem that is worse...........
Bright green can also be liver failure, so is there ANY possibility of tainted food?

Sick Bunny I had to have him put down yesterday. :( DH's uncle still says owl, which is not good since the big owl hasn't been around for at least 3 years, he lives down the road in the conservation. That is the owl that tried to carry off my (huge) cat at 11 in the afternoon, 2 days in a row!!! (Don't know what's up with the daylight hunting???) So on alert for the rest of the summer.

Reading and caught up on the posts & making mine quick for I'm beat.

Famerboy....I forgot the mention earlier that I loved the pics of your emus.

Long story short in the fruit loop saga......heard it through the husbands grapevine ( her DH to mine) this afternoon that she never like the idea of me having a rooster from the beginning and figured she'd just have to live with the fact. Then she heard I got another rooster. She thinks I got Shelby just to be spiteful! WTH??? My DH told her DH that it was a typical mishap when getting the chicks, said it's quite common & happens all the time!! And here's the funniest part of the whole thing..... which probably added to her wigging out on me....Her grandson, who she babysits daily & who is fascinated with the roosters and their sounds, wakes up every afternoon from his nap and the first thing he does is crow!! LMBO!!
Sue, thats to funny! Thats what she gets I hope he crows to her till she's 100!!!!

Oh and who a few pages back had the story about the dog being chased by the hen? Well that is soooo funny I wish one would teach my bad girl a thing or two.

Good day, Michiganders! Hope everyone is well & staying cool...sounds like tomorrow may be a killer! Looks like me and DH (just the 2 of us) will be unloading 250 bales of hay TOMORROW! ACK! To me, it's dangerous to do manual labor in that kind of heat!

Shout out: If anyone lives "near" Flint, and travels "to or near" the Grand Rapids area, let me know. I have a cockerel that needs a ride. Many thanks!
