Nova-

thats good news for your sister! Hope she heals up good now.

HEAT-

I just bought four bags of ice. The rabbits have found the crawlspace- where I cannot reach em, it feels like air conditioning under there, though, so I am jealous.

I DO worry about my NotMeatie girl though, so I turn the sprinkler on mist and I will let it run over part of their yard all day long. I am going to put the ice in the shade- probably set it on top of the rabbit hutches..in them? Not sure yet- not sure the bunnies will utilize them, but they are there if they want them. Notmeatie can sit under a hutch and let the cooler air/water come down to her.
My parrot and tortoise are both African species, and think we worry too much. They love this weather. The winter- not so much.
Well I hope the bunnies like the crawlspace more than I do - I was in one today running new plumbing and although it's cooler than outside the dust and dirt made got in my ears and eyes. The dust mask saved me!

Tap, glad you figured out the culprit. I love hawks and owls, and wouldn't begrudge them an occasional meal, but keep my birds in a covered run.

Snowflake, !!! Hope the little devils are caught quickly.

Someone claiming to be Raz's neighbor's daughter posted a long and angry rant. Not nice.

Nova hope it works out well for your sister. My Aunt had bile duct cancer last year, after extensive surgery and a course of chemo she is doing well (87 years old, and this is the second time she has had cancer, survived breast cancer back in the 1990's). She turned bright yellow at one point, it was really noteworthy.

Thought I share some pics I took tonight. We spent the whole evening outside. Thank goodness for the breeze and the drop in the temp a little.

My son on his 67JD Lawn Tractor. He plans on cleaning it up & taking it to a tractor show.

Part of our garden

Better shot of the whole thing.

My yummy lettuce!

And last but not least......Dusty giving a crow!!

Also M., I'd love to have that garden... One of these days... I am thinking maybe I aught to put my house up for sale, though I love it here, and buy one with some more cleared land instead! Oh man... but to move these chicken coops/runs... UH! Maybe the new people who'd buy it will want a few birds? LOL BUT that looks so lovely, that garden does.

Nova, it is nice to able to have a large garden & I'm fortunate & grateful to have to one but the dang thing is WORK.....Work when we get home from work!! DH does the majority of the planting so he gets the credit....I do the picking, freezing & we both do the canning.
