Well, got to go and check on "Duncan" my little bait cockerel. He is in the crow trap. If the crows still keep avoiding it, Duncan gets a reprieve this weekend. I'm kind of hoping he makes it, he's such a nice boy, not even crowing yet.

If they are attacking livestock I think you can, but I think you still have to get a license. The trap is however, from the state website so is perfectly legit.

Yes poor Duncan. I sent one of my Dark Cornish hens over to a friends house who had a really nice Marans/Ameraucana rooster. Duncan is the baby I kept. He has a lovely muff and beard, he's almost black with a beetle green sheen and some gold double barring showing through in places. He has mommas build, big and beefy like a Cornish should be, but he has a big tail like his Poppa. If the weather is good tomorrow I think I'll go and take pics.

I got to see Daron's Emu's today! e  Now I think DH wants some. They were so cute following Daron all around the farm as he was showing us around. Thanks Daron!

Sent 8 boys down to Cheboygan today for processing, $2.50 each and I will vac pac them myself. They are in a cooler in the garage resting overnight. Next group of boys are moving to the grow out pen on sarurday. I can't believe how much quieter it is around here!
