We got our first egg today! The girls are 17 weeks old. I'm pretty sure it's our Isa Brown. I hadn't taken the mesh off the nest boxes yet and my DH found it on the coop floor in a corner. When we took off the mesh the Isa jumped up and started scratching all around in the box and snuggled right down. Huh, didn't expect that little treat today!
Congrats on your first egg. Isn't it exciting when you get your first egg ?
No kidding. Well her legs are yellow. Randy told me it was an SS. Dagnabit. I really wanted an SS. I guess I could call him and give him crap... LOL,That's a golden Campine pullet. Her legs need to be slate though so I would guess maybe a cross breed. Mine are hatched with slate legs and the coloring of the feathers are exactly the same.

if SS= Speckled Sussex then no it's not. Speckled sussex have white on thier chest/face and then as they molt out thier baby fluff into thier adult feathers they lose the white chest/face and get the speckles. I agree with Robin on the breed. No kidding. Well her legs are yellow. Randy told me it was an SS. Dagnabit. I really wanted an SS. I guess I could call him and give him crap... LOL,
ehhhhhh....I don't care for little goats (but yes, they are cute!) lol I did have a mini angora once and she was a real sweety. I don't do little dogs either, had one once and hated it, its the only dog I've ever gotten rid of and not kept until it died of old age.I have Nigerians, huge personality in a compact package![]()
