Froze them first and then added the sticks?
How did you make and attach the star? Thanks!

p.s. This is what I am talking about - only reprinting what you have to reprint to make your point.

I missed the leadup to this post, but what a novel idea.

eliminate much of the garbaage`, wow !!!

Nova Amen,
I for got to thank you for your offer of hatching eggs. I appreciate it,& you. I think I'm lined up to get some from a fella in Fruitport now. Gidget is still wandering around like a lost soul. Could she be missing the two kilt hens she usually hung with? The other two are broody & not paying any attention to her. They stay in the same nest box, Gidget has piled in with them a few times since the attack occured.

Okay. Thank goodness it is not cocci!

My advice is...
Sit down with her and look at craigslist for jobs. Maybe she doesn't think she qualifies for any jobs. Look for receptionist jobs at salons if she likes beauty... pet salons if she likes animals. Start simple. Maybe she is overwhelmed by job ads...
If that doesn't work...
Give her no money, wash none of her clothes, buy her nothing...

AMEN!!

I was going through that with my 21 year old daughter. She didn't like our rules so she moved in with her father's sister. It was fun for a couple months now Tammy is starting to make her buckle down. My daughter is realizing our rules weren't that bad after all! Unfortunately for her she's burnt her bridges so she's stuck there.

The weather is making up for missing us the past few storms! The rain system is centered on my area, and while the arm of it rotates, the middle just sits over our county.

My flowers are already perking up! Looked out the front window this morning and saw the real testament to the stress on the plants this summer: my maple tree is turning orange at the top already. Of course, all this rain means that we'll probably be slammed at work tonight,

but by 10 I'll probably be more like

. It also means I'm not going out to pick tomato worms.....who knows how much damage they'll do by tomorrow.

Trying to figure out when I should buy an incubator, and when I should plan for some eggs to hatch (since DH said he would build a larger coop in August/Sept). Should I start with some cheap eggs, and have chickens that I potentially don't care for (breed-wise) or just go for it with some moderately-priced eggs of the type I *do* want to have?

To several of us in pain,

The loss of a loved one,or their being subjected to pain , whatever the source of the difficulty, always hurts the one who loves. At least that seems to have been my observation for lots of years. Of course there oddballs tha don't really care about anyone let alone love someone. Love is a wonderful human emotion, in most of iits many forms. Sometimes I felt that I would die becauseof it, sometimes i felt that i wanted to die for it , but in retrospect, i can't say i would rather not have had it as a part of my life. Here's to love! May it enrich the life of each and every pearson on the planet each end every day of their life.

I am going to wait until late fall/winter to see if they go on sale at all.

It must get out of our yard!! We might make partial trades if anyone is interested.

DB says he won't build a big one again. Everyone that bought one (this is the 9th one he's built this year) said they wished the one they bought was a little bigger. So he goes and builds a bigger one and here it still sits! All of the others sold in less than a week. UGH.

Check on craigslist for incubators. I actually got one for free on there right down the road! It still had the wrap and papers in it because she said she bought it with intentions but decided she didn't have time and it looked like too much work! I see them pretty cheap often on there too.
