Hey OrpingtonDad
welcome-byc.gif

Most of us start out with just a few and before we know it we are "OVERRUNWITHCHICKENS".

God bless your son and you. The fight with cancer is long and hard. May God bless your son with continued good health.

Hi OrpDad! Glad you joined us here. Chickens seem to be an addiction, so be very careful!!

I am glad to hear your little man is doing better, that is a very scary thing for a family. It changes your whole perspective on life, doesn't it?!

Last year, my then 3 year old daughter suffered a massive stroke, we almost lost her. It has been a long hard road to gain back what she lost, but we are making progress! We Thank God every day for this beautiful blessing He has given us!!

[/img] Orpington Dad. As you are finding out these birds are addictive. I wanted 4 or 5 and now I have 40. I'm glad your son is doing better and he will be in out thoughts and prayers.

Orpington Dad...May God keep His mighty wing over you and your child. Col. 1:11...i'll be claiming this for your family...the strength to get through any situation with JOY!!!

watch out, i think you have chicken fever!

welcome and can't wait to get to know you here!

Hello not to far away fellow BYC member!

We welcome you and prayers to your son. Cancer is a terrible thing. We are dealing with it with my sister in law, she has breast cancer. Which has spread to her bones. Doing well, but will always have the cancer.

Hey BTW, we have meat chickens for sale, already in the freezer or soon to be. Great way to control the food you eat!

Welcome again,
Sarah

This sure is a great weekend. Get a few things done and started 6 blue andalusian eggs in my incubator. Just what I need more chickens. I picked up 2 Marans hens yesterday and got my first egg today. It was a jumbo which was nice, but I wasn't to impressed with the color. Not much darker than my GLW's eggs but it did have a reddish tint to it. Hopefully they will get better. I'm keeping them isolated from my other birds. They look healthy but why risk it? Hope to hear how the rest of you are doing since this site has been pretty quite. Does anyone need a pair of splash ameraucanas?

hey all! From the Clarkston/Davisburg area. For those that generally say "Davisburg What?" We are 5 minutes from Waterford or Pontiac and about 10 from Fenton or Milford.

We have 6 bantams right now and we are expecting 15 more hens this week:lol: we are getting many different types, autralorps, opringtons, wyandottes, polish, dominque, plymouth rock and a cochin!

This should do us for now, or at least until Spring:D

Hi, I'm from the Otisville - Mt. Morris area of MI.
DH is building me a new coop but with the shortened daylight hours it is coming along real slow:(
I have Buff Orpingtons & Ameraucanas. I want to raise Barnevelders but can't find any in Michigan.
