Microcut fluffy shredded cardboard boxes - OK for bedding?

Yes.

I do. There are pictures in this album of using shredded paper, junk mail & card board. In DLM, it is not the only product but chickens allowed to mix it together. In a run exposed to water, straight shredded paper becomes cement like, so should be able to be mixed.

Edited to add: my shredder came from Staples more than 6 years ago, not sure exactly when. It has a 15 page capacity - which means that it can take pretty thick card board. I do rip up larger pieces to make them narrower. If I remove the flaps & open out the main portion of the box, it will pull it in & shred all 4 sides. It can also shred plastic & has a slot for credit/bank cards... the handful of times I've done that, its separated from paper.

Thanks all for the replies!

To those who asked about my shredder - it is just a 12-sheet paper shredder by AmazonBasics. Here is the exact one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7H8XB6/?tag=backy-20

I see it is no longer available, but they do have a 17-sheet version now (same brand).

I have been using this shredder for 2 years to shred my shipping boxes into bedding for my worm bins, and also browns for my compost bin/tumbler.

I break down the boxes by tearing them by hand (it's easier to tear if you go perpendicular to the corrugation lines). I tear into rectangles about 4-7 inches wide of any length and just feed into the shredder. I will sit and watch YouTube videos at my desk and do this for 20-30 minutes at a time and the shredder never seems to need a break. I'm sure some day it will decide it's had enough though, but it has been well worth it these last 2 years.

As far as box thickness - most shipping boxes work fine in the shredder. It's just the extra heavy-duty or double-walled ones I do not attempt to shred. Here's a picture of my current cardboard collection waiting to be shredded:

I've been using cardboard bedding for the past few months and it's working great I love repurposing and cardboard is basically free. I recently purchased a bonsai 169-b it's a 14 sheet shredder (Amazon) it'll take cardboard as big as its opening and it will happily munch it up with no complaints. I've made 4 50 gallon Hefty bags so far and it's going fine
