Some of these may be closer to high school than middle, but from top to bottom: Queen V the Easter Egger (V is for vulture, b/c that's what she looked like from a chick, but she's really Ba'dass for a hen and has been a great layer,) Mamacita the Brahma (lost to skunk), Walter, son of Phoenix, who is now my head Roo, Heather the 2nd, and Ursa Major (because she looked like a little bear when she hatched.) For some reason, I don't have tons of photos at this age.. V and Ursa are now my 2 oldest chickens; have been w me from the beginning and almost the beginning.
