Is there a door fee for people who aren't showing birds? Also, what time will the show be ending? Oh, is it indoor or outdoor (aka do i need mittens?).
thanks!
Usschicago: I'd be interested in a pair of japanese bantams. Does that breeder you know of have a website?

I dont believe there is a door fee. But i would bring money because i think they are serving food and having a raffle of some sort. The breeder may or may not be there. But everyone there knows who he is. He has been sick for a while so i havent seen him or i would know what he has. Youll have to introduuce yourself to me at the show and ill piont you to the president . hes good firends with him. Im not sure his prices or anything like that. Never bought from him. Iknow he has some of the bets around. Actually ill send out an email to the club asking about him tonight. It is indoors but im not sure how well its heated. No need for gloves but i would bring a jacket
Actually they aren't too bad, except "Fuzzball" Buff Silkie she needed her topnot and feet washed.. Course doing nails and beaks tonight and packing the suitcases, good thing we have a Van I always over pack, but you never know what you are going to need for you or the birds....

Hey, you never know how they will do until you try. Sarah has taken birds that she would have never thought would do anything and they do great. Depends on how the bird shows and condition, the bird could be top quality but may not place well because it's nervous and hides in the corner, she may surprise you
Hope she does.....
We don't do complete baths this time of year. We spot wash, dirty feet and feathers, plus of course clip nails and beaks. The key we have found is to keep them as clean as possible before show time. We also shine/clean combs, legs and beaks, with VetRx or Sweet oil the morning of the Judging and spray them with Luster's Pink Hair Spray to give them a little extra shine to their feathers. Once she is clean just keep her in a pen with plenty of clean dry shavings and she should be fine, and just do spot checks on show day
