What's a fair price for an adult pair of Midget White Turkeys? The hen is laying.

How old are they?

I've heard anywhere between $20 and $40 apiece. Sometimes folks sell them cheap if they have too many... like for $15 apiece.

I think they are a little over a year. I asked her where she bought them. Said the local feed store ordered them for.... $30 per poult for one-day olds!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?!?!?!

Sad when folks take advantage of newbie's lack of knowledge. They were asking $30 each for the adults. I asked if they'd take $45 for a pair. They replied that they paid $30 each for the poults.

I was out in the yard and, honestly, almost dropped my Blackberry!!!

yep it is sad aint it,
no midget whites run about $8 -$10 per poult just like most all standard turkey poults, some rare breeds are a bit higher, but 8-10 works for most all heritage birds

They are two hours away. I think I may wait and try to find something a little closer to home.

A fair price range would be $40-$60 for a pair.

We get $9 a poult for just hatched and the price goes up as they get older. As adults we get $50 a pair and that's a firm price unless somebody buys a bunch. We will put them in the freezer rather than give them away.

There is no way the seller bought poults for $30 each. I don't believe that. Why would she 'only' sell them now for $30 -- wouldn't they be more valuable now? Look at any hatchery catalogue and those turkey poults sell for $8-10.
