Could anyone please tell me what Midget White Turkeys weigh on average, both live and dressed? I am planning on raising some this year, but I cannot find any consistent information on the live weight vs dressed weight. Some things I have been reading say 8-13 pounds is the dressed weight, whereas others say 8-13 pounds is their live weight.

Alright, thank you! That helped clear things up for me. I honestly know pretty much nothing about raising meat poultry, and I really want to get everything right.

We had them a few years ago and they were bigger than we expected. We did wait until over a year old to eat them though so you may need to wait until 18+ months old for more meat. Now we have beltsville whites and they seem smaller but it is probably just because they're younger . It probably also varies depending on the specific breeder flock. With heritage turkeys, the males seem about twice the size of the females. With meat turkeys both genders will be huge at an early age (under 6 months old) and the males are so big they have trouble even walking (and are miserable in summer heat), so I prefer heritage now just to give them a longer and better quality life.
