I just wanted to share about this breed. They are so sweet and personable. I bought two in April as 3-week olds and raised them with my chicken flock. All through their development I was not sure of their gender. They both periodically fanned out and made what sounded like pre-gobble sounds. Yesterday they both started laying cute little speckled eggs. They get along great with all of my chickens including the rooster who looks after them just like the rest of the flock. They are kind and gentle and graze with my horses and get along with my cats, and they absolutely love humans. They have such personalities. One actually jumps up onto the horses's back just to be with us. I am starting to think about looking for a Tom for them and raising little ones in the spring. Question for everyone though, what do you guys do with your turkey eggs?? Also I am starting to have a very different perspective on Thanksgiving.
