Might get a duo of peahens, and got questions, please ~

Hello everyone !

So we all know Peacocks are loud during mating season and noisy, but, what about peahens ?
Are they as talkative or are they rather silent ?
How high could a peafowl jump/fly with its wings clipped ?
And would it damage plants so much ?
Also, what are the requirements land-wise for a single or two peafowls ? In feets/meters ?

Peahens don't make much noise. They can easily clear a 6 ft. fence with clipped wings seen more than one do it. Yes, they do damage to gardens but mostly the smaller plants when they are digging around for bugs and stuff.

What about the requirements for a pen ? I mean for the dimension ?
I saw pens that were more in lenght than width, other the other way around, etc...How should be the dimensions for two birds ?
Would two peahens only be okay considering we can afford to get a male since it'd be too noisy for our neighborhood ?

Here is the thing my dad could arrange, since we don't do anything with it right now :




My neighbor has chickens and my dad agreed to pick up a peahen or two from the zoo, if they agree.
But I need your opinion guys, if that space is enough for them or not.

I'd opt for a trio of turkeys over peafowl for that area.

Yeah that's plenty of room for a peacock pen. Hope you get them!

And we can't get peacocks since they are loud in the middle of the year here, well, around September for us. So is a duo of peahens okay ?

I just hope the peahens won't honk too much since I heard it was also a locating call.
