Might have to rehome a very noisy KC!

I had 2 khaki's and both were quiet. My runner and my rouen are also quiet. The Welsh Harlequin girls are learning to quack and they are NOT quiet...LOL.

The loudest duck was the buff.

If your neighbors give you a hard time and you have to rehome your quacky Campbell, send her to me! I want a quacker...mine are all too quiet

Just to be clear, I did expect some quacking. What I didn't expect was one duck quacking her head off almost all day long. lol

The lady at city hall was weirdly evasive, first just telling me that she didn't think I could have ducks or chickens because "When we let people have chickens, all we got was complaints." When I asked her to tell me exactly what the law was, she read something that said keeping swans was prohibited under all circumstances and that other "game birds, waterfowl and poultry as listed were prohibited within 1000 feet of any residence or place of business." That's a paraphrase because I don't remember exactly what it said. She wouldn't read me what was "as listed" though. I'm scared to go up there and get an actual copy of the laws, lest they put the law after me. lol It's a small, podunk town and nothing is online. There's not even an official city website, which I thought was a given nowadays.

My husband is now telling me that it looks like we ought to just sell this house and move outside city limits. If we weren't military and therefore required to move again in about 20 more months, I'd be all for it. Twice in two years when you don't even have to is too much, though. You lose money on all the realtor fees when you're buying and selling that much.
