Chicken poppy
Fashionably late
Hello! This might seem weird but i want to be prepared since im about to hatch some Japanese Bantam eggs (5 or 6)
And i always get roosters, always!
I currently have some Japanese Bantams and they are very show quality. Great eye color, feathering, tail, and for my rooster, in light, his tail feathers are all green, every single one. This picture does no justice.
And let me tell you he has the BEST personality, he rarely ever crows, just when theres danger or a few times at random, though its 100% the least amount of crowing i‘ve had from all my non Japanese bantam roosters. They all are great with kids, especially him. He is not mean at all, they’re so gentle with the other chickens, to. I just love them!
He sounds like a squeak toy and you can hold him like you would in a show, fingers between legs, or holding down the wings. He doesn’t fuss at all.
Anyway, if i get roosters, i won’t be able to unfortunately keep them since i have this wonderful guy. If we get some (which we most likely will) is there anyone here that would perhaps be interested? If not, no worries.
Extra information for creeper gene standard:
My female has short legs which are of course, wanted in Japanese Bantams.
some chickens, like my rooster, don’t carry the gene.
When a normal legged and short legged produce babies, apparently theres a 50% percent chance of both being produced.
So as a bonus, you might get a wonderful show quality rooster.
I appreciate anyone taking the time to read all this, even if your not interested.
Im located in CT and will not ship live birds.
