I'm trying hard to imagine what could have happened? What cord is on a console? I can't picture what they are talking about. I don't want to get that brand when I decide to get one. geesh...how scary and tragic for this little girl. God be with them.

There's usually a safety cord that you are supposed to clip to your shirt so you can't end up too far back and accidentally fall off. Ugh, such a shame, I can't even imagine.

When my ex and I were still together his son hung himself on a swing set at his mom's house. He Was eight. They had just seen Tombstone. He had a dog leash in a slip knot around his neck and jumped off the slide platform. The leash went between the slats at the top and the handle wouldn't fit. His half brother (age seven) watched it. They life flighted him to Children's hospital & he was in a coma. The docs said he'd wake up in 48-72 hours. At 72 he had a massive stroke from the swelling in his brain and they shut off life support the next day.

The treadmill was unplugged. The cord was tucked under the machine and she apparently pulled it out and somehow got it around her neck. People don't realize how fragile children really are. Poor baby, only 4 years old.

I hate those strings that were attached to the treadmills. Some of instant pull outs but not in such an angle like a small child would and it would not easily disingaged the safety button.

I wrap the string around the hand bars on the treadmill. That's just me.

this is why i decided on a gym membership vs. home equipement , i just knew dd won't stay away from it. GM has one and i've seen a cuz get his arm caught in the safety cord when he fell and it didn't pull out.

Yeah, I saw that. I was a huge Mike Tyson fan. I, to this day, put forth that in his prime that no boxer could have taken Mr Tyson.

I am very sorry to hear about his daughter. That has to be rough. I could not imagine that. God Speed to his daughter.

This is so sad. He actually is a very nice fellow. I see him at Pratt's Feed Store in Glendale. He raises pigeons.
