Mille Cochin Info

Somehow it seems that the supply is spread out a bit too far from the demand! Well the West Coast portion of the MFC universe has a little extra supply right now, specifically in the fluffy puffy cockerel category. Anyone in Northern California looking for MF/Calico project cockerels? No charge, just looking for good homes, and if they end up in breeding projects that is just frosting on the cake!

It seems to work against me, for sure. What I would like to add to my projects is always across the country or it is too hot to ship or too cold to ship or I am broke for the month. Always something.

Meanwhile, I have a few that I am watching. Color pops up and I get excited. Then I start looking at the type and smack myself for thinking I was going to get both so soon after starting this project.
Here is a fella that i am probably going to sell. his type is just not there for me but I love some of his pattern. I think his red is not there either as I have many roos with great vermillion that I can use and better type so this little buddy will probably find a home unless he changes miraculously over night!

I will be selling this pretty boy, too. I may have already posted him but he and his brothers are just not typy enough for what I want.

And I may sell this as a pair or separately. Not sure yet as I like folks to pick their roo and hen from what I have available and suits them.

Gosh, I have so many I can't get photos of everything. The more I sell the more photos I take of the ones growing up.

They are just beautiful and I have a few youngsters colored just like them from mine and also can't wait to see how they mature. I had one mature out chocolate instead of the buffy color. I really love her and will have to get pictures of her and some of my others since everyone is showing off theirs I will have to show off mine also LOL! I love all my Calico Milles!

Looks like I better go through this thread and see if I can find pics of flocks. LOL Thank you everyone that is offering, I'll try to find pics of your flock in this thread, and get right back to you. I'd like to find a few buffs as well.

I just started a Mille Fleur Project this year. Thanks to Bantyman (Mike) for the hatching eggs and to MrsChickenDad for the cockerel to get me started. Here's the (youngsters) lineup:

Yes, their names honor the family of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain. Considering Henry, it looks like England will be next year's honoree! Hopefully that will mean lots of pullets!
