Mille Cochin Info

Macho and Kipper, both July 3rd hatch, became parents tonight. Their first egg has hatched and there's a tiny, but so far fiesty and healthy, baby chick in the incubator. Believe it or not.

You did show photos of her! I love my Frizzles! Hated to sell her but I have so many!

Here is one I still have. Although I have a good many of them, I like this girl. And my blue Mottled behind her.

I really liked her and the smoke blue with red hackles. If I had the extra money, I would have bought one of them to. But, I'm really happy with the two I got. They are so friendly. Youu would have thought they lived here all there lives by the way they act!

My birds are usually very friendly. I do not breed them unless temperament is there and with bantam Cochins the sweetness is usually always there. Only my Rascal can be silly about me catching up his hens. My other boys are concerned but relaxed. I handle my birds a lot and talk and sing to them. They are less than enthusiastic about me kissing on them!

Here is the other pullet that Mike liked ......

I was in no hurry to sell these girls and if they are not sold they will go back into my breeding pens. I love the Frizzles! I am really surprised I do not have some in the house!

Beautiful Amy!!

I've only been breeding for a very short time, but I've read through the beginning of this thread and the original thread. No serious Cochin breeder would use D'Uccle.
& my stock came from Amy, Twyla, Lynne and a hen from Roslyn.

Personally speaking, I think you have done very well in that short amount of time. I have no idea who those people are other than Amy. I am not familiar with many on this thread as I only joined it a short while ago. I am sure they are from good lines.

Thank you.
As far as I know Lynne has been breeding the MF Cochins the longest. There are not many breeders who started this project - or who were there at the beginning - who are still around; Erin and maybe Shy?

Edited for grammar. sheesh.
