Don't sweat it, Kelly. Just keep who you think works in your program and, hopefully in a few seasons, you'll get there too!!

Yeah, I’m still getting at least 4 different down color combos and they all color out sometimes the same, sometimes different…..

Happy Mtn, I think you're off and running. Your cockerel looks to me like he has all three colors on his chest and doesn't look like he has wry tail (a few feathers sticking up) which many do. I like his red hackles and saddle. Your pullet has all three colors as well with nice background color. She does have too much white but I think your roo will balance her out nicely.

Josh, I saw how well you were doing on eggbid so I figured I'd try my hand. It sure beats trying to sell them on craigslist

The hen on the left has 2 little feathers that stick up a bit. Is this a wry tail example?
