Mille Cochin Info

I've thought about it... A lot too.

I was thinking of a blue mille crossed on lavander or Millie crossed on lavander would work.

I
I would start with lav mf cross if I have to start from scratch which is what I'm thinking. I love the color from when I had the d'uccles but I love my cochins more than the d'uccle breed so I'm going to begin the project this year.

Anybody working on porcelain cochins? Would love to get a start in these and if someone has already started the project that would be ideal to get my start Vs having to start them from scratch. I'm working on it now and started with mf and lav. Then back too lav again is what Im doing. Still working on it though will get picks of how it goes if it goes well

We have porcelain pekins here in the UK. If you look up 'Meg's Eggs' on facebook I believe she has genetics illustrated flow charts for them

I know I'm so envious of some of those porcelain pekins you all have over there. I'm starting the project this year already have some self blue chicks spoken for and coming my way in February. I'll be crossing them onto the MF and the black mottleds that come out of my MF line. Was hoping that someone else was further along with the project but doesn't really look like it.

Beautiful, as always, Mike!

I admit I haven't been taking many pictures of my birds lately. Everyone is wintering in my garage, and while they're safe and warm(ish) in there, It's a big dark area that doesn't inspire me to grab my camera

I hate having Spring fever so early.. it's still only January!

Thank you Mike

Your not the only one with spring fever, it's hitting pretty hard here as well. I'm taking my camera all over with me lately. I think it's because it's new but the chicken pictures are all in their coops and just don't look as nice as an outdoors one. But they work. I'm really waiting for the girls to start laying so I can hatch.
