She went up to $60 for him so I told her she has a new rooster. I never planned on selling him but it all just happened so fast. I plan on setting as many eggs from him as I can in the next week. I know he is going to good home so I hope she likes and appreciates him as much as I have. She has given me a new job though, finding a hen to go with him. That is going to be really hard. I'm thinking Daisy.

I hatched out 3 millies and got 2 boys and 1 girl. I planned on getting rid of my dark boy, but I am smitten by both. Here are some pics of the roosters, and an older one of the pullet. They are 10 weeks old now.

Here are the most recent pics of his current hens- every other MF hen I have is broody. Max- and Nigus- I have to get new pics of Rafael- he really has changed.

Wow! For $60, they could have one of my kidneys....ok, jus kidding, but I hear Reyvaug loud and clear as I don't get much for my birds. Countryboy, I sure hope you're entering our photos in a fair...or something!

To be honest, I don't think Rem was the best you could do. He's pretty, no doubt, but you have a lack of breast flowers issue just like I do. Rem wasn't going to help you improve the pattern at all. I didn't find his tail set appealing either. Plus he always looked long in the back. I am not sure if it was because of the pictures or if was him. I honestly think you made the right decision. In the end, it will better your flock.

I know I could have and can do better than him. He did help in ways but hurt my project in others. He looked long back in a lot of pics but here he isn't at all. I do get what you are saying though.

Their mother is Paprika, one of my favorite little girls.

She's a Sugar daughter from last year, I'm thinking out of Bran because of her lovely head.
Special is also in this breeding pen but I don't know if she's laying yet..
