Not to change the subject, but...

I just put some pictures on my chicken blog of the most beautiful MFC pullet IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!

OK. Maybe I'm just a little bit prejudiced but she IS stunning! She is one of a Trio that I am getting from Lynne and she'll be on her way to her new home, in the Bluff Country", NEXT week...

Follow the link to my BYC blog from the link in my signature line.

I am SO in love...

Nancy, Lynne is shipping my 2 pullets on Tuesday, also (weather permitting). I picked mine out on 9/13 - I was 2nd in line and had to wait for one other lady to pick hers out. I'll bet that was you!!!!

I rememer Lynne saying that someone else was waiting until I made my choices. I am SO excited about this trio. I also have another awesome trio coming from Ione in Florida very soon! ( I just have to mail her the box ~ which I just got today!)

OMG ~ these birds are SO addictive....

we're gonna need a 12 step organization!

Kelly, I'm going to HAVE to sell eggs! I can't believe how much money I've spent on chickens since I discovered MFCs...

;-)

I'm already thinking I should sell my breeding pair of SQ, black, bantam cochins. I don't need to be keeping a black rooster around! I actually have a trio but the one black hen is my Grandson's pet, so she has to stay...

These will be my first two MF's - so I'm very excited. They look pretty much like the pic of the one Nancy just posted - buff backgrounds and nice chevrons. I'm thinking I should wait until spring to pick a roo for them, and see how the feathering develops. I'm going to need alot of advice from everyone here regarding the best roo. I'll post pics of the girls when they get here next week.
