I love both of those roos! I can see where each would be a strength, depending on the hens you breed them to.... If that dark boy really is a blue, I want some eggs when your bator is overflowing!!! LOLOLOL!!!

Hey all

Joan that boy still looks good but I didnt use him to get Trouble Trouble is all millie cochin and not a cross with the partridge I did use the partridge and the hen in my millie project but they are in no way connected with Trouble I will put pix up on the breeding of that partridge with my millies soon as I can get a camera and the time to do it The camera is the hardest part How did the eggs from the partridge hen do? Did they come up fertile ?

She started laying after I got her, but the eggs weren't fertile and then she stopped when I put her and the roo outdoors under some lights. I wanted them to get some exercise. She's in a pen with the roo and two black mottled hens now and I just got an egg today. The weather has been warm and then snowy and now still cold, so I'm hoping that the three hens start giving me a few more eggs. I might get in the mille fleur game if the mottles give me something! Otherwise, I'll switch them back to my mottled Roo.

I'm going to keep at the partridge thing! I keep watching Eggbid and BYC for more QUALITY partridge cochins. It's a hard road to follow unless one finds a breeder who is still following that road and doesn't want a fortune for a really nice bird..

Folks are asking me for partridge eggs, but I have to get production off the ground to do that.

I still love the hen and the roo, no matter what!!! They are so huggable!!!

Everyone....I am happy to announce that I purchased birds from Lynne!!!!! I will post pics this weekend (should arrive Friday)....and Erin...I promise to post pics of the lil chickie! Didn't have much time after work today...
