I am sooooo happy to hear some GOOD news regarding the hatching eggs. I have a gal in WA who ordered last week. I shipped them LAST SAT. & they didn't arrive until late yesterday afternoon!!! Gosh, I could have driven there & back TWICE!!!

Speaking of hatches, I just yesterday had my first babies hatch from my new roo, Rojo. I crossed him with my hen Bridget & I'm hoping for great type & color. The wait will "kill" me!!!

Yeah, Lynne... I second that about Bridgette. What a keeper! And Rojo's color is on the money! Cannot wait for the outcome.

Nancy!! You were hiding Ice from us. What a handsome boy. I love all of his white... gorgeous!

I tell you what, Lynne ~ that first rooster has thrown some awesome chicks! He consistently produces much better than himself ~ and he's not bad at all! ;-) The only reason I'm letting him go is because I'll be using his son:

"Ice" in my Calico Cochin breeding program

The wind was blowing Ice's tail feathers in this photo.

I have several younger cockerels (Ice is about 6 months) that look similar to Ice at their age.

COMPLETELY UNRELATED AND OFF TOPIC:

I am starting up a home-based business and added a new item to my list of offerings last night. I think it's really cute! If you'd like to take a peak, you can see it HERE. I might just try making a chicken next! ;-)

Wow! I like his type! He is a tank, a fluffy tank

I know I had mentioned seeing a MFC Frizzle. Someone posted some pics of theirs, but I was on the internet just messing around and found this pic on a site like craigslist from another country. Thought I would share the pic with everyone.

Cracker Jack (CJ) and his son "Jackson" made their way from Nancy's Bluff Country to Coopa Cabana this week, and though they are in quarantine for a while, we did get outside today to get in a few pics, although both CJ and Jackson were much more willing to pose and show their type once back in their cages!
And for those you you that ski, while it's dumped over 2 feet in the mountains the past week (with more on the way), down here in Denver the sun was shining today (especially on CJ!):

I agree Danny! The type is looking much typier within just a short time! I KNEW that little bird would change a LOT before it was all said and done. Good thing, it changed for the better.

CoopaCabana, I'd sure like to get my hands on one of your red hackled roos. Mine just seem to be getting darker and darker hackles over time. HELP!
