I know we had this discussion last year about the coloring. I thought we had said it was actually vermillion instead of mahogany. Thank goodness, too. I am not getting mahogany except in a few pullets coming on now.
I swear I will go to the paint store and pick up a card for vermillion!
That way I tack it on my wall in the barn so I can see it often enough to sink into my brain. Although I am still working on pattern, I suppose it is coming close to needing to select for that shade. The details are going to kill me!
Thank you for the link, HorseFeatherz NZ and for the posting on here, Coopa Cabana. I have once again bookmarked it. The computer crashed about a month ago and I lost everything....again. I try to remember to put it on Drivezilla but suppose I am lazy after a while. I have too much stuff, too.
When I lose my way I come back here and you all get me back on track. So nice to have a support group for my habit...addiction...love!
Charlie, you have a lot of nice birds. I know you enjoy going out and loving on them. They are very beautiful and I am sure, sweet!
I would have been shocked if that had been one of mine but stranger things have happened. However, I knew some of mine have a blue look to feathers occasionally. I had another blue Mottled pullet pop out of my Mottled group. NellaBean bought the first one. She posted it on the Cochin thread. She's a beauty so I am keeping this one for my Frizzle group. You may get one occasionally from the trio you got from me but of the almost hundred I have hatched in the last 18 months, I have only had 2 to hatch out.
