Isn't it amazing how much they can change? I love my little light colored boys and so wish one would stay light but they all do like Remington and change into red roos. Not that it isn't a great thing but I would really love to have a calico roo! I am not working towards that goal nearly as hard as I work towards the MF pattern.
I can't even get very good buff Mottled boys! But again, not a focus as much right now.

Remington has shaped up to be a most handsome fella! I know you just love him!

Thanks everybody. Me being around him everyday I never noticed him change much but looking through old photos he really has changed a lot.

So, if they usually get more red with age what would a calico look like at a young age?

I have only had one calico boy and he must have been a sport. He was white with vermillion hackles. I have tried and tried and tried to reproduce that and just can't! Unfortunately, I had to put that boy down due to his hip socket not forming.

That must stink! I hopefully can produce some calico's like wildwoocochins. They are awesome calico's in my opinion. I bought some of Nancy's chicks. 3 pullets and her cockerel Sunshine roo.
