Yup, I had to put a yellow zip tie on Chipper so I was positive I sent you the right pullet! The older they got the more they looked identical.
Interesting to note; at hatch Special was a yellow chick, Chipper was a light chipmunk colored chick.

it would be great to get roos that look like the girls but no, it won't happen. The roos are always darker and to work at getting them lighter is an almost fruitless job. There have been calico boys but they haven't any pattern.

Boys will be dark, girls will mostly be lighter but both need pattern on the chest, wing feathers and tails, though boys will have some darker feathers in their tails than the girls. Those boys will have darker saddle feathers and wings. That is about the easiest I can explain it this early in the morning.

With the way Keeper is growing I think he will be my best marked buy. He has developed a pattern in his chest now. It's a vermillion orange to black then to white tipping. In photos it's hard to see it but when you pick him up and look him over you notice it right away. My fingrs are crossed that he will have type. In another month though he should look great.

BYC is adding more features and "upgrading" so while they are working on the site there are things that may not work for about 24 hours.

Argh! It throws all of us off when it does that. I keep up with folks on here but I don't "live" on here like I used to before the change. Now it is mostly all FB.
And for a while the mods would go behind us and take out our posts that said anything about FB but now I see them leaving it all. I am suspecting there are way too many folks talking about it.

I can post smileys and photos without problems but have had problems in the past. A lot!
