He's an outcross for type and is kind of in the middle. He has plenty of black and would go GREAT with this girl or any female that has good background color and maybe doesn't have a lot of black on the breast (which most girls have problems with). He has a nice comb and is a real ladies man. I took him out of the breeding pen earlier this month and he is so bummed... needs a girl of his own.

Here's the hen as a 6 mo. old pullet a couple of months ago. I'll get an updated shot of her today. She's laying now.

Hey PPF, he's about 8 months too.. late summer hatch. I think you may have been the one asking for birds not to long ago and I said I didn't have anything. I was planning on keeping both of these but, the roos father is pretty much the same color as him and is far better in type so I really don't need him. The pullet has put on some of black. She does have a few speckles along her back now but didn't get quite the hind end I was hoping for. They're still both very pretty birds and Im sure will make some lawn candy

beautiful pics! and the birds are stunning!

Here's a shot of the hen I took today. She was also an outcross for type and greatly improved upon in the head/comb area but never filled out as much as I would have like in her hind end

This isn't a great shot but, you can see her size and black speckles that came on
