hi all. I have a question about the Mille Fleur bantam breed. Is it possible to breed out the feathered feet while still retaining the beautiful plumage? I love their coloring, but do not like the feathered feet. Thanks!

I'm with the OP, not a fan of feathered legs, what other breeds come in mille fleur coloring?

Once upon a time D'uccles were the only breed or at least only breed almost anyone had heard of that had the mille fleur pattern.
It was the original and for decades they were just referred to as mille fleurs so it may be a pattern not a breed but for some of us mille fleur when said alone will always mean the MF D"uccles.

Yes, the feather footed gene can be bred out. The heavy foot feather is dominant.
Breed to clean leg and F1 gen is 100% light foot feathered.
Breed F1 offspring to clean leg and F2 will be 50% Clean Legged and 50% Light Foot Feathered.

Oh, and if you breed them to anything that does not have the vulture hocks then you will loose the vulture hocks in the first generation.
