I've been trying to figure out whether Mille Fleur referred to a specific breed or if it was coloring/pattern. Now I know it is pattern.
I actually asked about the mille fleur because I was dreaming about chickens last night and in my dream someone gave me mille fleur hens that were green orange and black. They were really pretty in my dream at least I know... Im weird. Someone tells me that at least once a day lol

Coopa we used to live pretty darn near to you, we lived behind the king soopers on sheridan and 56th(?) wasn't a bad little area, and then after we moved I discovered that we could have had chickens when we were there! I figured as much, since someone nearby had at least one roo, but never did figure out who!

WOW! Thanks. Color and pattern genetics in birds are way more complicated than they are in dogs. That was really cool and very helpful. My admiration for those of you working on creating specific traits just went way up.
I'm gonna have to agree, it is officially too complicated for me!
I'll take what other people have done and just cross them and see what happens, and focus on general coloring and definitly on type, for every bird I manage to breed!
