Does anyone know at what age this breed will start laying?

It's been a real long haul to try and get some Millie chicks. I think I finally have enough hens to Roo ratio that I can just start hatching my own. Shipping has been pretty hard on them, it'll be real nice to not have to mail order any more of them.

Congrats on your flock! How many do you have?

Six out of 24. Some we tried to hatch and the last batch were live chicks. The last four are to young to sex but I have at least one Roo and one hen, I'm hoping out of the other four there will be more hens than roos. Time will tell.
I can't wait until they grow, they are just so cute.

I think my little guy started growing his comb/wattles about 4 weeks, and by 6 weeks he was starting to gargle...er, I mean crow.

You'll know by then what you have. Congratulations on getting your flock together! I've been trying to do the same... I have two older girls (2 yo) and a new roo, and one 5 week old chick from a batch of 20 eggs. I'm doing a fertility test now, but not holding my breath.
