Hello all! I’m so excited! Just 3 days away from the big birthday bash. My wonderful tabby cat Milo will be turning 18, and my rescue dog Pippin (nicknamed Buddy) will be turning 9. Their birthdays are both on Valentine’s Day and they are the sweetest fella’s you’ll ever meet. Milo is probably not looking foreword to sharing his birthday for the first time!
Everyone is invited to the birthday blowout! Jokes, fun, and random rambling welcome!
Some background:
I got Milo in around 2013. I got him when I was around age 16 when my family had moved to a new house. He actually came with our house lol. He has been my best Buddy for the past 7 years and helped me through a lot. He has came everywhere with me since. He has had some health issues in the last few years but is doing well despite. He is now blind in both eyes and last year developed a hematoma on his ear. Because of this he is partially deaf. The vet said he is doing good adapting. He still manages to find his way around and eat everything in sight!
He is the nicest cat you’ll ever meet! He has taught all my kittens everything. When I have brought home kittens over the years he takes care of them like a mother and teaches them. I foster kittens frequently and he still enjoys spending time with them.
He looks a bit rough now that he has gone blind but is still in good health.
Pippin is my soon to be 9 year old Shetland sheepdog. He is a rescue! I got him over the summer! He is still energetic and acts like a puppy! He is so lovable. I got him from a rescue after learning his story. His owner had passed away and the owners wife was moving and couldn’t take him with. He was very frightened and sad when I first got him but now we are best friends! He goes wherever I go and sleeps at my feet every night. He loves to run with me and bark at everything in sight! He is the perfect addition to my animal family. He gets along wonderfully with the flock, the cats, and everything and everyone!
Here’s some pictures of the sweeties! I have a birthday party for Milo every year but this year’s it’s for both of them! The first pictures are of Milo now the last couple are older when he wasn’t blind. One is from his 16th birthday. He still loves to go out and sit in the sun on the deck with me.
p.s. hope I did the poll right I’ve never made one
