I have heard that it is really good, but I would have to be certain of the source. Grass-fed would make a difference, it FULLY grass fed. Mad cow was at one time transmitted when sheep carcasses were included as a protein source in feed. That's been outlawed in the US I think, but commercial feed could still be contaminated.
Commercial feed is contaminated with glyphosate, and numerous other herbicides and pesticides. If at all possible,pasture-raised,grass-fed, and grass-finished is the way to go.
 
Off current topic (not eating brains) but has anyone smoked cauliflower or jalapeno poppers?
I've actually eaten both. Delicious if executed properly. I didn't cook them though.
The smoked cauliflower was served as mashed potatoes style, loaded with smoked bacon and smoked gouda. Damn F'ing good. Go for it and post some pics, dammit.

Might not happen now. I'm a little salty with the person hosting the party and I need to have my own party.... Lol. Maybe I'll do that! He's a butthead
 
Whole Foods offer smokes cauliflower in their hot bar. I think they add the smoke flavor without smoking it.
The poppers.. Did you build them and keep them in the fridge over night? Did you bread them? How did you prepare them?
