That could be an option. In my experience they were great free rangers and smart broodies.

I never free ranged mine, & my Sumatra hen never has gone broody. She lost an eyeball a year, or two ago, so I don't trust free ranging her due to that handicap.

My Minies like trees, & like to go into the woods. They also venture further then the rest of the chickens I free range.

Thinking about naming blue boy #2. Magnus.
So, there's so far: Maximus(Greatest), Massima(Greatest), & Magnus(Great).

Black Pullet #2, will be Maxima(Greatest).

Yes all pretty much mean the same, but the names will help keep track of the parentage.

Had some Chicken Drama to stop.

Never ever would I think Game roosters would team up, & try to kill another rooster together.
My Project Mini American Gamefowl Maximus, & My Taiwan teamed up on my Red JungleFowl Rooster, & it took a good while to settle them down.

Gonna have to watch them off, & on today. Would love to be able to get everything I need soon to seperate certain birds.
