Mini American Game Breeding Project(From Scratch)(And Discussion Thread)

That hen is currently in the dying process. Started this morning. She's gonna go naturally, & peacefully. She purrs here, & there as she lays there relaxed/content.

Asking my friend if I can have that rooster I gave them back, since he's Half Blue Face, & can use him.

I'll be receiving a couple cockerels from my friend too, at least one has been fathered by the rooster above.

I can get him, & the two cockerels sometime next week. Yay. Good thing she's got a healthy flock otherwise I wouldn't add her's to mine, or my birds to her's.

Hello, this project is dedicated to producing a good fresh bloodline of Miniature Gamefowl(Not Bantam).
I'm not gonna be able to start this project right away.


Mother of the Cockerel is a Mystery Game Hen(Green Legged)


Father of the Cockerel is Phoenix/OEGB Cross.


Mother of the Pullet is a Black Sumatra Hen


Father of the Pullet is a Red JungleFowl Rooster.


Next Step is breeding the F1s together, to see what they produce, in type. Colors will most likely be Blue with Red/Gold, or Black with Red/Gold. Female offspring with Gypsy Face, & Males without(It's Sexlinked).


Will Breed back the Cockerel to his mother, & also cross him to one, or both of my Blue Face Game Hens. These will then be bred to the F1-F2 pullet(s) if Male. The F2-F3 Offspring pullets would be bred back to their father, & F2 male relatives.


That's the plan anyway. Temperament is important, also.

Will keep Blue Face as the model to keep gameness in the genepool.

thanks. im starting a Belgian Liege Fighter flock. We are working on dark green eggs with our layer flock F2 Olive Eggers back to FBCM. Also want to have a Olandsk Dwarf flock.

Yeah I have a trio of Liege that have Greenfire lines. my dark green eggs im currently looking for high quality French Black Copper Marans. we have F2 olive Eggers that are laying beautiful eggs. we have Easter Eggers and Starlight Blue Eggers that we want to breed olive Eggers. I haven't located Orladsk Dwarves yet
