I want to put this red breasted Pattern on Duckwings. I think I may know how to though. Maybe able to add silver, & golden breast feathers to the line as well.

The Roman birds seem to be both Red Breasted, & normal dark breasted either Duckwing, or Birchen colors.

Hello, this project is dedicated to producing a good fresh bloodline of Miniature Gamefowl(Not Bantam).
I'm not gonna be able to start this project right away.


Mother of the Stag is a Blue Face/Oriental Hen(Green Legged)


Father of the Cockerel is a Mystery Game Bantam.


Mother of the Pullet is a Black Sumatra Hen


Father of the Pullet is a Red JungleFowl Rooster.


Next Step is breeding the F1s together, to see what they produce, in type. Colors will most likely be Blue with Red/Gold, or Black with Red/Gold. Female offspring with Gypsy Face, & Males without(It's Sexlinked).


Will Breed back the Cockerel to his mother, & also cross him to one, or both of my Blue Face Game Hens. These will then be bred to the F1-F2 pullet(s) if Male. The F2-F3 Offspring pullets would be bred back to their father, & F2 male relatives.


That's the plan anyway. Temperament is important, also.

Will keep Blue Face as the model to keep gameness in the genepool.

Here's how it's looking at 3½ Weeks.

The chick is starting to get red breast feathers now. So gender is now confirmed pullet.

Turned 3 weeks yesterday. Still not 100% certain on it's gender yet. I see some things that make me think Male. It's a tricky one.

It looks like it has a little bit of a crest going on there. According to the line theory, it's a pullet, and the feathering to me is still looking like a pullet.

Little Dude was her father, which is Crested.

If any of you are curious as to why I keep going back, & forth on it's gender, is that it does have some golden/yellow hackles starting to show, & the breast feathers that are coming in are a Dark, Rusty Red with Silver, or White Streaking.

I may get a picture of those when they grow out more.
