mini egg??

Has anyone seen a little egg like this before? All my chickens have been normal sized eggs until I found this one in the nest box this morning. Do you think it would hatch?

It looks like what is know as a Fart egg, I have never had one myself, but if you search fart egg, you will find threads about them. I don't think they will hatch, I think they usually don't have a yoke. Maybe somebody else will have some insight on that.

no they wont hatch, they do this from time to time, it is yolkless. Just a little white and a shell, you should see the ones my class A seramas lay likt that, marble sized at best.

I think you should blow the insides out by putting a hole into the top and bottom, then blowing into the top and pushing the whites, and yolk if there is one, out into a bowl. I don't think it would hatch anyway!

Great idea to blow it out so we can save if for all non believers. Ours was much tinier than that in the picture a few postings back.
